Senator Ted Cruz Trip to Cancun

Published:

Texas state senator Ted Cruz flew to Cancun, Mexico despite the weather concerns. Interesting turn of events took place as Texas was struck by winter storm which left millions of people in his state without power and water. Apparently according to him he had planned a surprise holidays for his daughters as he wanted to be a “good dad”. He did come back from Mexico as he said “it didn’t feel right”. It sparked a state wise outrage when the media release photos of Republican lawmaker leaving state in midst of a power and water outage caused by a storm.

Ted Cruz, who ran for presidency in 2016, is currently under severe criticism for leaving his citizens midst crisis for his international trip but he somehow left his dog behind as well. There was a picturing going around the social media depicting his dog stranded in a closed house. The Senator however has defended his stance on this stating that he and his staff were in constant communication with state and local leaders to get to the bottom of what happened in Texas. He didn’t apologize openly but signified that it was a mistake and he felt for doing so I returned on this first flight to home available. The situation in Texas isn’t good right now as the have been hit by extremely cold weather breaking 30 years old record. With food supplies running short and outage expected to last for few days there’s a lot to be done.
