On April 4, 2024, the Clark County Building Department declared structural damage to a condo in Las Casitas Condos, Spring Valley, after a woman crashed her car into one of its pillars. The incident, which occurred inside of the condo community near Rainbow and Tropicana, was reportedly triggered by the woman’s frustration over her boyfriend’s failure to pay rent for April. The resulting damage was severe, rendering the condo uninhabitable. TME News attempted to obtain a statement from the condo’s occupant but was unsuccessful.
Currently, the condos from downstairs and upstairs remains condemned, with access restricted until the damaged pillar is repaired. A temporary wooden support now stands in place of the damaged pillar. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. Subsequently, the couple was promptly evicted from the condo.
