Many countries are suffering from a severe new wave of Covid-19. The virus is mutating itself and becoming stronger day by day. China, Germany, America, and Russia have developed a number of vaccines till now. Vaccination campaigns are running successfully but still, the number of cases is not coming down. However, the situation is out of control in different countries. For this reason, the affected countries are running out of beds in the hospital. Moreover, there is a shortage of oxygen for patients in critical condition.
Covid-19 new wave in India
A few days back, Indians were busy with their religious and cultural festivals. A huge crowd gathered at religious places and performed their rituals. This leads India to hit a new wave of Coronavirus and now the situation is out of control.
India is breaking all the records in Covid-19 active cases. Around 346,786 cases were reported on 23rd April. This is the highest number of cases ever recorded by any other country in the world. Also, more than 2000 patients are dying on daily basis. The situation is very critical due to this sudden spike in coronavirus cases. Hospitals are overflowing with patients and running low on beds and oxygen supply. Although the country is also going through an economic crisis, the government is still struggling to fulfill all the needs of hospitals to curb the new wave of Covid-19.
Emergency situation in Japan
Recently, the Japanese Prime Minister has imposed a state of emergency till May 11 in different cities of Japan. Due to the hit of the fourth wave, an emergency is declared in Osaka, Tokyo, Hyogo, and Kyoto. The sudden spike in coronavirus cases causes a burden on hospitals and many people are dying before they come to medical care centers.
With the increasing number of cases, the Japanese government has imposed restrictions on traveling for about 100 countries that are prone to the new wave of Covid-19 pandemic. Also, there are chances that the Olympics might get postponed due to the prevailing pandemic situation in Japan.
Other countries suffering Covid-19 new wave
Besides India and Japan, some other countries are going through a new wave of the virus. Covid-19 virus spread is exponentially increasing and the situation very alarming for the whole world. United States, France, Brazil, United Kingdom, Russia, and Turkey are on the top of the list in coronavirus active cases. According to World Health Organization (WHO), confirmed cases in 223 countries are 145,216,414 and around 3,079,390 are deaths.
The new wave is hitting the whole world severely and the life of every human living on this planet is at stake. So, we should do our part, wear masks, and keep social distance to stop the spread of the virus.
