Las Vegas has announced new capacity rules and regulations regarding reopening. Governor Steve Sisolak has declared to reopen full 100% by June 1. Yet the plan for mitigation efforts will remain the same for May 1. In the month of April, 40% of Nevadan’s with age over 1 year have started the vaccination process ad among them 25% have been fully vaccinated. However, there are some authorities who want to reopen 100% as early as May 1 while others are against it.
Every county in Las Vegas has a different and unique perspective and each one has different factors to consider as well. These factors are urban and rural settings, transmission rates of community in the area, and administration of vaccines, etc. The governor collectively said that the state will keep its mandatory measures in order; however, the mandate of social distancing will be removed as of May 1. This authority will be transitioned to the counties. The Governor of Las Vegas said that the planned timeline will require people of Las Vegas to continue to get vaccinated and wear a mask and the mandate will remain the same statewide as well. The state has turned over the controls of COVID-19 mitigation on May 1, to counties requirements.

Las Vegas has completely shut down all businesses which were non-essential and that include bars, restaurants, and casinos, etc. The release plan will effect on May 1. The government allows self–service buffets to reopen with necessary precautionary measures of COVID-19.
In every entertainment center, nightclubs, and casinos, wearing of face ask will be strictly followed. They have a capacity of 50 percent all over Las Vegas. They are allowed to increase the capacity to 80 percent if everything is going well. Capacity rules expansion depends upon the rate of vaccination in the people of Las Vegas. In restaurants, the table capacity is increased from six to ten people. If staff is following all precautionary measures of COVID-19 and wear masks then restaurants can prepare food tableside. However, the country recommends it people prefer delivery rather than indoor dining.
