Former President Donald Trump in Nevada

Published:

Former President Donald Trump made a campaign stop in Las Vegas on Friday, where he promoted his plan to eliminate federal taxes on tips. The event, held at Il Toro E La Capra, was closed to the public. During his speech, Trump also highlighted the recent endorsement from Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who ended his independent presidential bid.

“We just received a great endorsement from RFK Jr., Bobby,” Trump stated. “I’ll be discussing that more. Right after this, we’re heading to Arizona, and we’ll talk about it there.”

Trump’s comments came a day after Vice President Kamala Harris formally accepted the Democratic Party’s nomination for president. Like Trump, Harris has also promised to end the federal income tax on tips if elected. Trump accused Harris of adopting his policy idea.

Following his Las Vegas appearance, Trump is set to travel to Arizona for a campaign rally in a Phoenix suburb. Nevada, a critical battleground state, is currently rated as a toss-up by The Cook Political Report as the election approaches.

At TME News, we strive to provide balanced coverage of both sides of the political spectrum. It’s important to reflect on which candidate aligns with your values as you consider who should lead our nation as the next President.
