Celebrity Boxing is one of the most entertaining television shows in which celebrities get in the ring and fight each other in exhibition boxing matches. This time, it is the former basketball player Lamar Odom who takes up a new challenge against singer and songwriter Aaron Carter. The contest will take place on June 12, 2021, at the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City. Damon Feldman, who is a celebrity boxing matchmaker revealed that two celebs will be facing in June. He also claimed that this would be one of the greatest celebrity fights ever.
Let us now examine the profiles of both players. Lamar Odom is an ex-NBA star who played for many teams from 1999-2013. He played 14 seasons in total and was also a member of the LA Lakers team. Aaron Carter, on the other hand, got famous in the late 1990s as a pop star and gained his reputation as a singer, actor, producer, and rapper in the music industry.
Both contestants came face to face in a press conference on 10th April in Philadelphia. Just like every pre-fight conference, there was trash talk and all other stuff to create hype. However, things got more intense when Lamar threw some words, and Aaron pushed him in anger. They are all set to face each other in another much-anticipated press conference on 22nd April in Atlanta.
Lamer Odom is considered a favorite for this contest because of the obvious size difference. The former NBA star is 6 ft. 10 inches and weighs 230 lbs., while Aaron Carter is 6 ft. 1 inches and weighs 165 pounds only. However, despite this crazy size difference, Carter is still confident in his skills as a fighter. In an interview, he said ”I am really looking forward to this fight. I just want to let you guys know that I am not just a music producer, an entertainer, a singer, a dancer… I am also a fighter. I grew up street fighting. I am really looking forward to this match.”
