It’s Halloween 2024 in Las Vegas, with just five days left until Election Day. Tomorrow, November 1, marks the last day for early voting in Nevada. Both Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are in the state campaigning—VP Harris in Las Vegas, and former President Trump in Henderson.
As part of the Halloween tradition, the community gathered at the Doolittle and Pearson Community Center for a fun and safe celebration. This annual event brings local businesses together, each bringing in at least 50 pounds of candy for kids to enjoy. In addition to local vendors, some notable figures stopped by, including Senator Jacky Rosen, Councilman Cedric Crear, Congressman Steven Horsford, and Mario Berlanga, owner of Mario’s Market. They spent time engaging with the community and taking photos with attendees.
Kids were thrilled to load up on candy (and a few parents may have snuck a piece or two!), while adults connected with local businesses that sponsored the event. Business owners enjoyed the opportunity to share more about their work with the community.
Overall, the event was a huge success, leaving many happy kids with sweet treats and fun memories. A haunted fun house added an extra touch of spooky excitement for all!
